Never thought I'd be here or even doing this, but... they tell me it's a necessary thing. That is if, I want anyone to notice me or my work.
I need to say this....absolutely none of this would have happened if it were not for the support of my wife. The encouragement from her has made me want to pursue this passion I have had for a very long time. So... Thank you Dollie, you and all you've given me are truly my inspiration.
With that, welcome to my blog. I'll be posting what I think are interesting photo's and thoughts from time to time. I welcome enthusiastic participation!
I’m excited about this venture and one thing always comes to mind when I'm turned onto exciting new things. It’s a line or two from one of my favorite cowboy poets… ah hem…
"There ain’t nothing like the feelin’ ya get down deep inside… when ya trod out in the mornin’ when you’ve hired out to ride... and… your mounts enthusiastic...and the air is crisp and new”...
One of my very first attempts at a professional photo is the one called “Smoke”. Smoke is Dad's horse, otherwise known as “Grandpa Val”. He means more to us than words can say so it is only fitting that I made a photo of his horse… Smoke is a Mustang, Government Brand and all… They are both as real as Cowboys and Horses can get.
This horse has the ability to see deep into your soul...
Where there is "smoke" there is fire...burning from a desire to travel trails few have trod...
